A randomized, double-blind, single-dose, comparator-controlled crossover trial involving 10 participants was conducted to investigate the effects of an amylopectin/chromium complex (Velositol) on plasma concentrations of essential amino acids (EAA), insulin, glucose, and the fractional rate of muscle protein synthesis (FSR).

A randomized, active-controlled, double-blind study involving 35 recreationally active men was conducted to investigate the effects of an amylopectin-chromium complex (Velositol®) combined with whey protein on strength and power after 8 weeks of resistance training.
